Capturing the Heart of the Viewer

Lately, I’ve been drawn to this Diebenkorn-inspired style of strong lines, angles, and blocks of color; all mixed in with my individual expression of water-in-motion.  I am often surprised by the unexpected direction a painting takes. My job is to remain uninhibited without preconceived notions allowing each painting to reveal its own story.

Once a painting is complete it is no longer mine. It is ready to be experienced by others and capture the heart of the viewer.

My first showing of these new encaustic works will be at the Dallas Total Home and Gift show June 22-25. I am excited to share my new work and observe the reflection of the beholder.  And yours?

Wouldn’t it be special if we could meet over beautiful art and inspiration? If you are in the Dallas area (or any of the locales I travel to) I’d love to invite you as my special guest.

May the spontaneous feeling of peace surround you.
This is the gift; the gift of my art.

Peace All Ways,
Shima
