I have a special affinity for working with designers and architects. My experience in business, combined with my practice as an artist, allows me to understand both the creative vision and the practical considerations involved in bringing original artwork into a project.

Each commissioned painting is created specifically for your client and their space. Scale, composition, palette, texture, natural light, and placement are considered from the beginning. Hand-mixed encaustic pigments and custom-made Russian Baltic birch panels become part of the process, allowing each work to be developed specifically for its intended environment.

Collaboration

Together, we discuss the essential elements of your project: concept and composition, dimensions and scale, color and texture, placement, timeline, and logistics. Our dialogue continues throughout the process, from the initial concept through completion, packing, shipping, and installation.

My encaustic process is inherently layered and responsive. Beeswax, earth pigments, damar resin, and fire become the materials through which the work evolves. I build and fuse layers, then excavate, scrape, mark, and refine the surface. This allows your ideas and the character of the space to inform the work while preserving the freedom essential to my artistic process.

Timeline & Investment

A commissioned work typically takes several months from initial conversation through completion, depending on scale, complexity, and the requirements of the project.

A 50% deposit is required to schedule and begin a designer commission. This allows me to reserve studio time, procure the specialized materials required, and dedicate my process to your client’s artwork.

The remaining balance is due upon completion, prior to shipping. Shipping and installation are separate and are coordinated with trusted partners.

I honor established artist–designer partnership agreements and work collaboratively to support the needs of your project and your client.
